Workshop title - Biodynamic Gardening
Content: This is a theory and practice workshop designed to help you get to the point of applying the productive and inexpensive Biodynamic gardening methods. You will learn a context for Biodynamics, how to use the Biodynamic preparations, the planting calendar and make compost using Biodynamic practices. We will also delve into Biodynamic weed and pest control, liquid manures and general organic gardening methods. You will learn by doing, so please come along in your gardening gear.

Presenter: Peter Kearney is an experienced workshop presenter, Biodynamic gardening practitioner for over 5 years and founder of www.cityfoodgrowers.com.au. Peter recently completed some intensive training on Biodynamic gardening practices at the global base for Biodynamics in Europe, in conjunction with 700 other BD practitioners from 30 countries.
When and where: On Saturday 28th February from 10-5pm at 203 Wights Mt Road, Wights Mountain via Samford.
Charge: The charge is $50. Please bring along your lunch, afternoon tea is provided. Pay on the day by cash or cheque.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion. It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)
GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
