This 2 day course is for food gardeners and hobby farmers already using organic methods. It covers a mixture of theory and practice, building a framework of understanding for you to work with biodynamics to improve your soil, garden productivity and food quality, and at the same time, raise your awareness into the deeper spirit of nature.
You will gain an understanding of biodynamic gardening principles, how to use the biodynamic preparations, work in tune with the planets, make biodynamic compost and tree paste. We will also delve into biodynamic weed and pest control, liquid manures and general organic gardening methods.
“We both found the September biodynamic gardening course very informative and interesting and it stimulated a strong interest in biodynamics. Peter, you are a gifted teacher and are quite clearly very passionate about what you do and we are both looking forward to growing much healthier food - which was our aim in doing the course. We felt very welcome at your lovely property- and the afternoon tea was delicious”. Marion and Geoff Harrington, Beaudesert
Peter Kearney is the course presenter and organic gardener. Peter has worked with and studied biodynamic gardening methods for over 9 years, is founder of www.cityfoodgrowers.com.au and has conducted these courses regularly since late 2008. Peter talks from his own study and practice on his property in Samford. This moves the concepts of biodynamics into very practical application for gardeners of any standard.
Afternoon tea is provided, comprehensive written training materials, biodynamic preparations to get you started, ongoing support online and connection to a network of local gardeners working with BD practices.
Course fee is $240 per person with a discount of $20 per person for couples. Gardener subscribers of www.cityfoodgrowers.com.au also receive a $20 discount.
To register, visit our event calendar at www.cityfoodgrowers.com.au for registration instructions or call Peter Kearney on 0401156532. Payment in advance of the course is preferred to confirm your registration.
