Saturday 26th September
9am – 4pm: Bee Keeping: Harvesting Honey and Dividing a Hive – with Richard Nielsen
This workshop is about the traditional Langstroth honey bee hive, and how to manage one. We will harvest honey from a hive, remove the frames, extract the honey from them, and bottle the honey. We will look into the brood box in a hive and see how to create a new hive, and look at how to go about setting up a hive.
