Event Description

Back to Basics – How to Grow Organic Food with Linda Brennan

Sunday March 6, 1:30pm – 4:30pm FREE

At the Back to Basics workshops, Linda will help people discover the basics that they can do in their own gardens to ensure their food is snappingly fresh, sensationally lush, chemical free, and the local environment is a clean, safe habitat for people and wildlife.

We’ll start with learning how to grow an active soil biome, what to use and what to avoid. We’ll work up from there, looking at plant choices, plant health and a living garden biome.

Many people when converting to organic growing, don’t understand what is truly organic and readily available amongst the ‘greenwash’ of garden chemicals and fertilisers. Participants will go home from this workshop, able to identify and choose the right solution for their growing needs, from cultivational methods through to companions, fertilisers, pest control methods and more.

It’s all hands on and interactive, with notes provided by Linda to support participants new knowledge.
