Lemons looking sad? Fruit trees pestered by scale, pests and disease?

Join Organic specialist Linda Brennan at Beelarong Community garden for a 2 part Active Orchard Care series. Both parts are 10-12. Part 1 Thursday 1 August Part 2 Thursday 8 August

Looking after your orchard trees is essential.  You will learn the basics of pruning, fertilising, mulching and pest control.  You'll have  a bounty of delicious fruit at home in no time.

Cost is just $5 which goes to the farm.

GrowVetiver

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
