Tournament Eve On the Friday evening before the Tournament begins, the Knights Order of Lion Rampant invites you to witness the spine-tingling Knighting Ceremony held in the beautiful Abbey Church at 7.30pm. Amid ancient stained glass and candlelight, a 14th Century knighting will be performed. This is a photographic feast not to be missed.
Tournament Weekend Each day begins with the Grand Parade. Witness more than 500 knights, warriors, ladies and their retainers present themselves to the crowd.
Historical Combat
The Jousting Championships - Medieval Music & Bands - Dance - Archery - Street Performers - food stalls
Finale
On Sunday, the 24th Abbey Medieval Tournament will conclude on a lighter note, as the many Historical Re-enactment groups come together for the Grand Finale.
Saturday Evening – Gregorian Chant
Night Office (Compline) is sung in the Abbey Church on Saturday evening at 5:30pm, a very authentic setting for this final prayer of the day. It is sung (entirely in Latin) in candlelight in much the same way as it has been chanted for over 1,000 years.

It is a heap of fun - I don't go every year but really enjoy it when I do go.
