This experiential one day workshop gives you a balance of both practical and theory in a beautiful setting on 5 acres of rural residential land in Camp Mountain, 30 minutes drive from Brisbane CBD and 5 minutes from Ferny Grove Station. During the day you will:
Learn how make humus rich compost, and get the most value from it
Understand how to plan and manage your vegetable gardens, orchard and herb gardens, using time tested organic methods enhanced with biodynamics.
Appreciate how you can create the highest quality soil using biodynamic methods.
Practical activities during the day will be: compost making, stirring and applying biodynamic preparations. making and applying biodynamic tree paste, These activities will be supported by an introduction to biodynamic concepts, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of how to work with the intricate web of life that supports healthy food growing.
Peter Kearney is an experienced workshop presenter, educator and organic/biodynamic gardener. He has worked with, studied and taught organic gardening with biodynamic methods for over 13 years. Peter is a regular speaking on biodynamic gardneing at Biodynamic Agriculture Australia conferences and he is founder of Cityfood Growers, a leading Australian provider of urban agriculture knowledge and operator of Australia's largest organic gardening web site.
